就是修饰限定名词的部分放在了名词的后面，就叫后置定语了。
一般情况，形容词修饰名词时，形容词放在名词的前面，如：a pretty girl“一个漂亮的女孩”
但是，如果修饰的成分复杂一些或者是某些结构，要放在后面才不显得太冗长，如I like the girl in red. 我喜欢那个穿红衣服的女孩。in red就放在了名词girl的后面做后置定语
定语通常是位于被修饰的名词之前，而后置定语是在英语中才有的，汉语没有。英语中单词做定语位于名词之前，一旦构成短语就得后置于名词。这个短语有：介词短语、形容词短语、不定式短语、分词短语、个别副词等。
eg: Chinese is a language different from Japanese. (形容词短语)
I think an afternoon in the open air is good to us. (介词短语)
People there are very kind and helpful. (副词there=in that place)
I have a lot of work to do this morning. (不定式)
That is my teacher standing at the gate，talking to a boy.
(现在分词短语，standing.........定语, talking..........伴随状语)
